Fests I have somehow been forced into participating in:

I'm really not quite sure how I've managed to get myself into this, but January hasn't even finished yet and somehow I've found myself signed up for THREE separate fests so far this year (and that doesn't even include things like Erised and Smoochfest that I'd already planned to join in with later this year). So, this is a blame post where I point out all of you horrible people who forced me to go look at prompting posts and then sat back and laughed at me as I flailed over all of the fics I suddenly wanted to write, okay? How dare you.

hp_kinkfest is the first one, and the blame for this lands squarely in the lap of birdsofshore (as well as the meanie who left the awesome prompt that I began salivating over). However, Birds has already made up for it by betaing my submission, so I guess that makes us even. *grumbles*

dracotops_harry is the next on the list, and this is all absolutely dicta_contrion's fault for just hanging that prompts list out there for just anybody to see. I mean really, you should be more careful about where you put things, D. *shakes head*

And finally, I just signed up for harrydracompreg, because capitu planted the idea in my head and then skipped off laughing and just left me to deal with it. Honestly, what did I ever do to you?

Okay, so maybe this should be a thank you post rather than a blame post, because I'm actually really excited for these fests. One of my New Year's Resolutions was to expand my writing attempts, and all of these are helping me to do that. So far I've got ideas for a change in pov style, a pairing I haven't written before, and a switch in top/bottom dynamics to what I usually write, so I'm well on my way to completing this particular resolution - which really, absolutely never happens, because I tend to forget about them as soon as I've made them.

So yeah, be on the look out for some different types of stories coming from me over the next few months! XD

I had no idea you'd signed up for kinkfest! YAY! I want to sign up for mpreg as well, but God, I don't know where my time's gone, I haven't even managed to read through the prompts list yet :(

It was quite literally a last minute thing, Birds put up a post and forced me to check out the prompts, so of course I found one I really wanted to do in about a minute.

Go and look at the mpreg prompts! There are so many cool ones, and then we can complain together as we write, haha!

Its one of my favorite fests. I love that there is a mandatory happy ending, because I just cant handle my OTP+sadness. I also love the changing themes.
