Brief LJ hiatus

I received some very bad news today; my mother's best friend, one of my favourite people in the entire universe, passed away unexpectedly this morning. He was my honourary godfather, my 'uncle', and my father figure during a time when I had none, and I loved him so much. So, I have to go away for a while, I have to travel to my mother's and be there for both her and his wife, while we prepare to say goodbye to him.

I just wanted to let y'all know, so you know why I've suddenly disappeared. This might mean I miss some hd_erised postings - possibly including my own gift - but I want to promise that I will get around to reading/commenting on them all, it just might take me some time.
