Day 5: Six songs that you're addicted to.

This changes for me a lot, depending on what I'm in the mood for and what new band I've stumbled on, so I'm going to go with the ones I've been listening to recently.

  1. House Rules by Christian Kane - because it's a fun, country rock-ish song that always makes me want to dance, plus it has the line Well rule number 7 says don't touch the women, but they can grab whatever they want to... which, come on, is a really cool lyric!

  2. Enemies by Shinedown - just because it kind of represents the type of music I like best; a good guitar riff, a middle of the road rock sound, and a song with lyrics that say something.

  3. Under the Water by The Pretty Reckless - because dear Lord, can Taylor Momsen sing, and this is just a beautiful song.

  4. On my Own by Ashes Remain - because I'm a bit of a Christian Rock fan, and this is an awesome song.

  5. The Story by Sara Ramirez - she makes me whimper, because she's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on this planet, and she has the voice of an angel to go with it.

  6. Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer by Jay Z and Linkin Park - because awesome lyrics and a fucking fantastic guitar riff, not to mention how socially important the message of this song is considering the current #BlackLivesMatter and #StayWoke. Actually, I recommend listening to the entire Collision Course album.

The Pretty Reckless is a bit of a guilty pleasure listen for me! I saw her live a few years ago and she was awesome. Though I'm not sure I know this song. *wanders off to listen*

Oh, I just love them! She just sounds so gorgeous, really earthy and natural, and I love the dichotomy of that to how she looks, haha!
