Title: Stuck in the Middle (With You)
Prompt: Prompt no.1
Word Count: 12,000
Rating: PG-13
Contains (Highlight to view): A whole lotta fluff! S
Disclaimer: Harry Potter characters are the property of J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury/Scholastic. No profit is being made, and no copyright infringement is intended.
Epilogue compliant?: LOL nope.
Who is pregnant?: *Draco and one other FC. *
Notes: Pretty sure this is my first H/D fic with no smut, so er, sorry? I've written a few angsty things recently, and this was a perfect opportunity to just write some fluffy stuff all about babies, so I hope you'll forgive my self indulgence. Dear
eidheann_writes, your prompt made me giggle the moment I read it, and I hope you enjoy what I did with it!. Huge thanks to
indyonblue for looking through this so quickly for me, and hugs to the mods for such a great fest!
Summary: Harry had thought that it couldn’t get much worse than the synchronised vomiting that was morning sickness.
I had great fun writing this, and although I never managed to get it to a point beyond a PG-13 rating, I kind of didn't care. I sort of just wanted this story to be a light-hearted, feel-good story, full of all the trying things expectant parents go through in the run up to a birth. Fun Fact: All of the things that happen to Draco and Pansy in this story have happened to me during my three pregnancies (and what happened to Harry too, actually). Yes, my husband literally crouched down in front of me and asked, "Is it coming now?", all while holding himself as though expecting to catch a wildly thrown rugby ball. Turns out even medical doctors can freak out and act stupid when there is a tiny human on the way! I hope y'all enjoyed it!
