Do you guys ever get a comment where you read it and just think, what is the point of that?? I got one on one of my time travel fics, and I'm just sitting here scratching my head, going whaa?? This is what they wrote:

okay but now what youve got here is a paradox. if harry kissed draco coz of the future, then why did the original harry kiss draco? because he wouldn't have seen a future in which he immediately kissed draco because he hadn't kissed draco in his future.

Like, okay?? But did you like it or?? Do you have anything to add that isn't just pointing out the general point of a time travel fic? HOW DO I EVEN REPLY TO THIS?

People are really fucking weird sometimes, y'all.

Oh gosh, i get loads of comments on my time travel fic that make me realise I have not got the faintest clue about time travel. It makes some people quite cross, LOL.

And people LOVE to point out where you got things ~wrong. I had one recently that said "I'm pretty sure JKR said Lucius didn't go to Azkaban after the war." I'm like... "yes? And she also said Harry hated Draco, and married Ginny? This is a FANFIC, I decide what happens here, not JKR."

It's just... I have no idea if they even liked it? I usually reply to comments with something along the lines of, thanks for reading, I'm glad you had fun, but did they? Or did everything else pale in comparison to this arbitrary issue of the paradox? In the end I just went with "eh, it's all good because MAGIC" lol!

People DO love to point out where you got things 'wrong'! What does that say about us?
