Problems with writing slash for years and then suddenly switching to het and panicking about it:

1. "Hang on, how can they be 'chest to chest' when there are breasts in the way? Oh, no, it's cool, they're squashy enough."


2. "No no no, fingering is easier from the front, not the back, especially when clothes are still on."


3. "WAIT. WHERE DID THE COME GO??"

Man, writing about dicks is so much easier, I think I'll go back to that, tbh.

The one time I wrote a het scene last year I hat to really think about the right vocabulary. I don't really think about it while reading, only while writing. Ergo I was lost at first. LOL

LOL yeah, I can see that; we're all socially conditioned to think of female body parts as 'mysterious' and 'embarrassing', as a way to keep us cowed yet still seen as alluring to the males. /feminist rant. I was proper freaked out by the dick deficit though, haha!

Oh it was a pinch hit for a Vampire Diaries exchange fest, for Damon/Elena. I haven;t watched the show in years, but I'm still a moderator for the comm so I pitched in. I'm sure it was absolutely terrible in terms of characterisation and story, haha!

Also I'm pretty sure I just wrote m/m frottage using female body parts, it's probably very weird, haha!

Semantics, absolutely. In the end, I just went with it, cause the character's a skinny thing with hardly any boob anyway (compared to myself, who could probably knock someone out if I turn around too fast), and I just figured, ah fuck it, they're both chests, people can deal, LOL!
